ENTEBBE - Rwandan President Paul Kagame is in the country for trilateral talks with presidents Yoweri Museveni and Kenya’s Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kagame arrived ahead of an infrastructure summit due later on Tuesday at Entebbe.
Kenyatta arrived Monday on his first official visit as Kenya’s president and held bilateral talks with his host, President Museveni at State House, Entebbe.
According to updates on Kenyatta’s timeline on social networking site Twitter, the two heads of state discussed the construction of a standard gauge railway line from Mombasa as well as the construction of a refinery in the region.
They also discussed the implementation of reforms to enhance efficiency at the Kenyan port of Mombasa.
Last week Kenyatta announced that the period taken to clear goods from Mombasa to Kampala would be shortened from 18 to just five days.
